I was browsing this sight and spotted the
odd character from the past. It would be
nice to play catch up as I regret not having
kept in touch with many of the good mates I
left behind.The Bunde Days were the best of
my life (even the ones I can't remember). I
have just retired after 30 years service to
the Crown. Any one who was with me in the
fighting 33rd (79-84) who wants to chew
the cud please get in touch.Does any one
remember what happened to Paul Sweet?
Sad to see that Birdwood is now a field,no
pigs bar,no NAAFI growlers for breakfast
(washed down with a Herforder),no lines of
trucks to sleep under,no more forbidden
block parties,it must have been a sad day
when they flattened the place.

is there anyone out there who could tell me what troop ship i arrived in Southhampton on i arrived about the 21st june 1953 from Singapore i have told it could have been the Devonshire but i am not sure thanks Ron Bateman
